Trailer Released For “Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical”

Whether you’re a kid or an adult, you’ve definitely heard of the Peanuts franchise created by Charles M. Schultz. Characters like Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and more are ingrained. Now that legacy continues in Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical, a special coming to Apple TV Plus on August 15, 2025. Here’s all that you need to know.

The synopsis from the press release reads: “This summer, celebrate the joy and magic of summer camp and the importance of preserving what you love. Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally — a first-time camper — is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place. While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby. One morning, the Peanuts gang learns that their beloved camp is shutting down because there are fewer campers joining each summer. The news especially saddens Charlie Brown, who feels hopeless about losing a place that has meant so much to him and his friends. Meanwhile, on their adventure, Snoopy and Woodstock find the sought-after treasure chest, but are quickly disappointed when they discover it’s not riches, but instruments and photos from past summer concerts held at the camp. Newly inspired, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang use the treasure to host their own concert to save the camp.”

That certainly sounds like quite the adventure. This special is one of many specials that Apple TV Plus has released over the years alongside various shows. This special is even more special since it’s the first Peanuts special in over 35 years in addition to celebrating the franchise’s 75th anniversary. The special features original music by Emmy Award-nominated composer Jeff Morrow and Emmy-nominated singer, songwriter, composer and New York Times bestselling author Ben Folds. The special was originally meant to come out July 18, 2025, but moved to August, most likely to fit the pattern that the other summer specials did, where they also released in August.

The special is written by Charles Schultz’ family, those being his son Craig Schultz and Craig’s son Brian Schultz alongside frequent collaborator Cornelius Uliano. Erik Wiese, known for working on shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Samurai Jack, The Mighty B, Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, and Sonic Prime, is once again returning to her director’s chair in the franchise. Executive producers are Craig Schulz, Brian Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano alongside Wildbrain executives Paige Braddock, Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, and Logan McPherson.
