“Predator: Killer Of Killers” Animated Movie Updated With Extra Ending Scene

Predator: Killer of Killers, the animated anthology and newest entry in the Predator franchise debuted last month of Hulu, has been updated so to speak, with a brief extra scene towards the end. Following news from the big San Diego Comic-Con event this year, during a panel focusing on the franchise, an extended ending was shown, which is now also included in the actual movie available on streaming.

The animated anthology features stories about warriors in various eras, like Vikings, Feudal Japan, and during World War II, encountering the alien species of hunters. There’s also an epilogue that ties all of the stories together, more or less. Considering we’re discussing the ending scene of a movie that has premiered less than two months ago, please note this article might contain spoilers for those who haven’t checked it out yet. For more thoughts on the actual movie, feel free to check out the review published on AnimeSuperhero, by this same reporter.

The ending of the movie initially showed Naru (Amber Midthunder’s character, the protagonist of the recent Prey live-action movie), captured and put in a stasis field aboard the Predator’s ship. Now, the extended ending shows a bit more, as it pans over to show other prisoners, like Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (played by Danny Glover in Predator 2), and none other than Dutch (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original, 1987 movie). During the panel it was revealed that Schwarzenegger gave his okay to use his likeness for the movie. For fans of the characters and the franchise, this should be a pleasant addition. It is interesting to wonder how and when these two characters were captured, though. Or if we will see more of them, in animated form possibly taking into account the actor’s ages at this point (or whenever a new movie might come out). Regardless, it is nice seeing these two guys again, even if inactive and only in animated form.

This was the final scene shown initially, of Naru. While we just spoiled who else shows up in the new, extended ending, check out the movie to see how the characters look in animated form.

The next scheduled Predator movie is Predator: Badlands, set to debut in theaters on November 7 of this year, starring Elle Fanning, and directed by Dan Trachtenberg (who also directed the aforementioned Prey and this very same Predator: Killer of Killer feature).

Predator: Killer of Killers is currently streaming on Hulu – now with an extra scene towards the end!
