“Wondla” Season 2 Coming April 25, 2025

Apple TV has developed a lot of shows based on popular books. That’s the case for Wondla, which returns for season 2 on April 25, 2025. Here’s everything that you need to know about it:

Wondla is an Apple TV series based on the “Search For Wondla” book series that first came out on June 28, 2024. The series is developed by Disney veteran Bobs Gannaway, known for developing shows like House Of Mouse, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Monsters At Work. The show focuses on Eva, a curious, enthusiastic and spirited human teenager raised in a state-of-art bunker by M.U.T.H.R, a robot caretaker. On her 16th birthday, after an attack on Eva’s bunker, she finds herself on the surface of a strange planet called Orbona, which is inhabited by aliens, covered with other-worldly fauna, and has no other humans to be found. Eva is joined by Otto, a giant tardigrade, and Rovender, a cantankerous alien, to help find humans, her home and her true destiny. The second season, which has 7 episodes much like season 1, continues from that premise, as revealed through the synopsis:

“This futuristic coming-of-age story follows 16-year-old Eva 9 as her epic journey continues, and she uncovers startling truths about her past and the world she calls home. Picking up from season one’s shocking cliffhanger, Eva is drawn toward the promise of home — but new discoveries only lead to more unanswered questions. As she searches for the truth, Eva finds herself pursued by a relentless force that believes she holds the key to something far greater than she ever imagined. In a season brimming with revelations, sacrifice, and an existential fight for survival, Eva must choose where she truly belongs.”

Season 2 features a star-studded voice cast, including Jeanine Mason (Roswell, New Mexico) as Eva, Emmy Award winner Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) as Otto, Gary Anthony Williams (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows) as Rovender and many more. Emmy Award nominee Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) returns as the voice of Eva’s new caretaker. New cast members include John Harlan Kim (Cruel Intentions) as Hailey and Ana Villafañe (Castro’s Daughter) as Eva 8. Wondla is produced by Skydance Animation, and executive produced by Tony DiTerlizzi and Bobs Gannaway alongside Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, Julie Kane-Ritsch, John Lasseter, David Ellison and Dana Goldberg. The series is animated by Icon Creative Studios.
