“Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” Coming To Peacock January 23, 2026

As we head into 2026, we have theatrical movies coming to streaming to ring in the new year. This includes Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, which comes to Peacock on January 23, 2026. Here’s everything that you need to know about it.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, which released on September 26, 2025, is a movie from DreamWorks Animation based on the Netflix preschool show Gabby’s Dollhouse. The show, created by Nick Jr veterans Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey, centers on a girl named Gabby who really loves cats. She turns from a live action girl into an animated girl, and goes on all sorts of adventures with her cat friends in her dollhouse. The movie elevates the concept as Gabby goes on a trip with her Grandma Gigi to Cat Francisco, and has to get the dollhouse back when it gets stolen by a crazy cat lady named Vera.

The series is definitely the most successful original show to come out of DreamWorks Animation Television. It’s often in Netflix’s top 10 kids shows. Full episodes uploaded to YouTube get millions of views quickly. It has all kinds of merchandise and video game representation. It’s notably the first DreamWorks TV show to be represented in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, unlike how it’s DreamWorks film franchises that are represented. The movie also proves it given the generally positive reception, and managing to break even by earning 80 million dollars on a 32 million dollar budget. Considering how Spirit Untamed, the last theatrical movie based on a DreamWorks show, bombed at the box office and got mixed to negative reception, it’s a step up.

Now, even though this movie is based on Netflix show, it’s first streaming on Peacock. Why is that? Well, for the past few years, every animated theatrical movie from Universal, which is mainly DreamWorks Animation and Illumination movies, follows a similar pattern. They first hit Peacock, a streaming service owned by Universal, 3-4 months after hitting theaters. They stay on Peacock for 4 months before moving to Netflix, where they stay for 10 months. Once those 10 months are up, the movie goes back to Peacock for 4 more months. Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is no exception. Despite the heavy emphasis on live action, this is still a mostly animated movie that DreamWorks treats just like their other movies.

Also, a “Sing-Along” version of the film will be coming to Peacock in January as well. Peacock will also give Subscribers bonus content, including lyric videos and deleted scenes from the film.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie stars the regular TV cast returning to their roles, including Laila Lockhart Kraner as Gabby, Logan Bailey as Pandy Paws, Secunda Wood as MerCat, Juliet Donenfeld as Cakey Cat, Donovan Patton as CatRat, Tara Strong as Kitty Fairy, Maggie Lowe as Baby Box, Sainty Nelsen as Pillow Cat, Carla Tassara as Carlita, and Eduardo James Franco as DJ Catnip. Joining along for the ride are Gloria Estefan as Grandma Gigi, Kristen Wiig as Vera, and Jason Mantzoukas as Chumsley. Rounding out the supporting cast are Thomas Lennon, Melissa Villasenor, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Fortune Feimster, Matty Matheson, Grey DeLisle, Lucy Lowe, Scott Menville, Piotr Michael, Shelby Young, Tina Ukwu, Gweneth Everlee, Cassidy Nugent, Vera Kate Widdington, Sophia Biling, and Lauren Chan.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is directed by Ryan Crego, who also conceived the movie’s story. The screenplay was written by Mike Lew, Rehana Lew Mirza, Adam Wilson, and Melanie Wilson LaBracio. The movie is rated G, a rarity for DreamWorks Animation.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie (“Sing-Along” version) is coming to Peacock as well.

And that’s all we have.  What do you think? Are you excited about the movie coming to Peacock?
