Ho Yeah! The King Of The Hill Hulu Trailer, Finally

King of the Hill

Ever since Hulu announced they were bringing back King of the Hill, they’ve been releasing information one small drip at a time. One month they let us know Bobby was a chef, the next month they let us know who was replacing Dale’s voice, the next they let us see one drawing of an aged Hank, etc. We didn’t even know the full cast until today.

But this is it: with less than a month to go, Hulu has finally released a trailer for the KOTH revival, which is full of great moments I can’t bear to spoil (the first time you see Bill, you’re gonna scream). And they filled in the last bit of casting info by revealing who is playing Kahn: actor Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show).

He may be 14 years older, but Hank Hill has as much trouble comprehending the 2020s as he had comprehending the 90s and 2000s. He has an awkward time using Zoom, genderless bathrooms and rideshares. And, as always, the hardest thing for Hank is relating to his own son, who is now a successful chef in Dallas, working with his childhood neighbors Joseph and Connie. There’s someone else in Bobby’s life now too — and another source of discomfort for his father…

The season premiere of Hulu’s King of the Hill will be screened in public for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con later this month, during a special panel for the series with the cast and crew. There will also be a makeshift backyard attraction outside the convention hall, serving fresh-grilled barbecue meals throughout the day. Look for it next to the Convention Center in the Bayfront’s Parking Lot A.

King of the Hill Season 14 stars Mike Judge as Hank Hill and Boomhauer, Kathy Najimi as Peggy, Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive, Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill, and Lauren Tom as Minh and Connie Souphanousinphone. The revival premieres on Hulu August 4.
