Trailer Revealed For Unicorn Academy: Winter Solstice

“Winter Solstice” is the 2nd Unicorn Academy special

There are many holiday specials and movies old and new that capture the fuzzy warm feelings. Unicorn Academy seems to be shaping up to join this roster with the 45 minute special Winter Solstice. Here’s everything that you need to know.

Let’s go over what the show is about first. Unicorn Academy is an animated series based on the book series of the same name by Linda Sykes and Julia Chapman. The series is developed by Michelle Lamoreaux and Robert Lamoreaux, who wrote on shows like Totally Spies, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, and Shimmer And Shine. When a dark force threatens to destroy Unicorn Island, a brave teen named Sophia Mendoza and her five schoolmates (Ava Banji, Layla Fletcher, Isabel Armstrong, Valentina Furi, and Rory Carmichael) must rise up to protect their beloved magical academy with help from their unicorns. Of course, Sophia has her own mission, find her missing father.

As for what the special is about, here’s the synopsis: “It’s the most magical time of year at Unicorn Academy. Ava is pumped to show everyone the best solstice ever, but her plans get foiled by a pesky Solstice thief. Ride with Ava, Sophia, Layla, Isabel, Rory and Valentina and save the holiday for everyone!”. It certainly sounds like a wonderful time.

The special stars the show’s regular voice cast, including Sara Garcia as Sophia Mendoza, Sadie LaFlamme Snow as Ava Banji, Kamaia Fairburn as Layla Fletcher, Gabriela Kosmodis as Isabel Armstrong, Kari Wong as Valentina Furi, and Koy Stewart as Rory Carmichael. The special, much like the show itself, is produced by both Spin Master Entertainment and Mainframe Studios. Charlie Adler once again serves as the voice director.

And that’s all we know. What do you think? Are you excited for the special? Comment below with all your thoughts.
