Chainsaw Man was arguably the biggest blockbuster anime series of 2022, and after three very long years of waiting, we are finally getting a film continuation of the story. The television anime’s cinematography was very cinematic in style, making a big screen adaptation of a manga arc something highly anticipated. Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc will premiere in the US October 29th, about a month after the Japanese premiere on September 24th. The movie will not have to compete with the similarly anticipated Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, which premieres in the US September 12th.
Official synopsis:
“Denji became ‘Chainsaw Man’, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.”
Staff for film:
We can presume like with Crunchyroll’s last release of a major Shonen Jump title in theaters (the SpyXFamily movie), this will have an English dub released in addition to the Japanese version. It is very likely Chainsaw Man will do likewise. More trailers and information is likely to come out as the release date approaches, and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on whatever news comes out for one of the biggest anime releases of the year.
