“Goldie” Series Coming To Apple TV

It’s quite an accomplishment when an independent project gets picked up from a major studio. That’s the case with Goldie, which was announced to be coming to Apple TV on February 14, 2025. Here’s everything that you need to know.

Goldie is an Apple TV show based on the YouTube pilot of the same name. Both the show and the original shirt are created by Emily Brundige, who’s worked on many notable projects. She helped develop Harvey Girls Forever for DreamWorks Animation Television, and was a major writer on projects like Lego Scooby Doo: Blowout Beach Bash, Hilda, and Big Nate. The Goldie show follows a giant girl named Goldie (voiced in the original short by Charlyne Yi). Despite her huge size, she has a big heart that makes her incredibly endearing to watch. In this thirteen episode series, Goldie sets off on epic adventures with her best friends in their beloved town of Boysenberg. Together, they learn that being different is something to celebrate, and that there’s space for everyone in this world — even giants.

The principal voice cast includes Jessica McKenna, Dee Bradley Baker, Amari McCoy, Vedanten Naidoo, Grey DeLisle, and James Sie. The guest voice cast includes heavy hitters like like Henry Winkler, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Nicole Byer, Cree Summer, Carlos Alazraqui, Maulik Pancholy, and Maria Bamford, among many others.

Produced by Mercury Filmworks, Goldie is created by Emily Brundige, who also serves as executive producer alongside Daytime Emmy Award winner Clint Eland (who also worked on Hilda). Emmy Award winner Graham MacDonald (who worked on Mickey Mouse 2013) directs, with Ben Greene (also from Hilda) as the show’s head writer.

And that’s all we know about the Goldie show at the moment. Are you excited for it? Talk about it below. We’ll update you with more information when it comes up.
