Independent comics producer Speech Comics have entered the final days for their Kickstarter campaign to publish the first issue of new title Mobster Mash. Written and drawn by company founder Will Robson (whose credits include Marvel, DC and IDW) the title focuses on an alternate 1940s Hollywood where rival mobs staffed by iconic movie monster races vie for control of the city via the criminal underworld.

The campaign seeks to reach an £8,000 target to get the first issue into print and pay staff including Robson, colourist Andrew Dalhouse and variant cover artist Des Taylor. Robson has previously used the platform to publish three issues of Outbreaks, an ongoing zombie anthology comic.

At time of writing there are currently six days left in the campaign and a little over £1000 to go to reach the target. A range of reward tiers are available including bookmarks, trading cards, signed art and issues of the aforementioned Outbreaks.

The campaign closes Friday 1st November at 5pm UTC.
