The Legend Of Vox Machina Season Four Confirmed

Vex, Vax, Keyleth and the others will live beyond the current storyline, Amazon confirmed today. The Legend Of Vox Machina has been greenlit for a fourth season.

The news was delivered by — who else — the Critical Role team who birthed these characters in the first place. Sam Riegel, Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe and Marisha Ray appeared in a short video posted online. “We’ve been picked up for a Season 4,” said Riegel. “The gang will be back for more epic adventures next season. We’re so thrilled, we’re so excited, we’re so grateful. Thank you for watching and we couldn’t be happier to share this news with you.”

“The fantastic team at Critical Role and Titmouse continues to deliver captivating seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina and we are excited for more to come,” said Melissa Wolfe, Head of Animation, Amazon MGM Studios. “Our global Prime Video audience has embraced this series from the beginning and the fans, along with us, remain passionate about the characters and stories.”

At this point, three-fourths of the season are out there (and I personally have only seen the first half). It isn’t clear at this time if the “dragon” situation the characters are dealing with will be resolved by the end of Season 3, but if it isn’t, then it’s fortunate the Amazonian fates smiled on the land of Exandria.

Without getting into too many spoilers, Season Three is mainly about dealing with the dilemma that spun out of control in Season Two. A vicious gang of dragons is trying to conquer the world and the only defense is a series of legendary battle items called the Vestiges, which can only be obtained through dangerous questing.

The Legend Of Vox Machina is an adaption of the first D&D campaign from Critical Role, the world-famous liveplay podcast starring professional voice actors. The animated adaption features the same cast: Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers), Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3), Marisha Ray (Fallout 76), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers).
