Helluva Boss IS Coming To Amazon Prime And More Crossovers Between Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel Are On The Way

Vivienne Medrano, the creator of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, announced at the LVL UP EXPO 2025 and on her personal YouTube page that Helluva Boss is coming to Amazon Prime. She also announced that now Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel will be able to interact with each other, with the video announcing this news showing Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss characters interacting with each other.

New episodes of Helluva Boss will first appear on Amazon Prime Video and then will be released on YouTube a month later. Amazon Prime will also be providing funds to help produce seasons 3 and 4 of Helluva Boss. Vivienne Medrano will retain full rights to Helluva Boss and now has a first-look deal for any future projects with Amazon Prime.

Vivienne Medrano had this to say about the new deal with Amazon Prime Video:

“I am so grateful to Prime Video for their continued support of our work on Hazbin Hotel and for allowing our team at Spindlehorse to expand the Hellaverse by embracing Helluva Boss. I’m so excited for what this means for the continued rise of Indie animation! It’s a dream come true to be able to tell these stories, and I truly can’t wait for you to see what we have planned!”

Both Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel started off as indie animation pilots on YouTube back in 2019. Both pilots gained a staggering number of views on YouTube. Helluva Boss remained a YouTube animation darling, with 2 seasons being released on YouTube from 2019 to 2024. Meanwhile, Hazbin Hotel was sold to indie movie production house A24 and A24 eventually partnered with Amazon Prime to produce an Hazbin Hotel animated series, the first season debuting on Amazon Prime in January 2024. Fans have long wanted more interactions between the two shows and now that looks like it will happen.

This deal seems similar to the one Glitch Productions made with Netflix to have episodes of The Amazing Digital Circus debut on YouTube and Netflix simultaneously. With Vivienne Medrano retaining the rights to Helluva Boss, are we seeing a new boom in creator-driven indie animation? Shows like Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, and the Amazing Digital Circus have gotten too big for the major streaming services to ignore. Here’s hoping we see more indie animation projects get the attention and resources they deserve.
