Release Date Announced For Batman Ninja Vs Yakuza League

Batman Ninja Vs Yakuza League

Warner Bros Japan’s sequel to Batman Ninja is almost here, the studio announced today. Batman Ninja Vs Yakuza League will be released on digital one month from now, March 18, followed by a Blu-Ray and 4K release April 15. There’s finally a trailer too; check it out below.

In addition, WB has finally revealed exactly what the plot is. We were expecting something wild, but this is even wilder: the movie starts one day after Batman and his allies return to Gotham City. Bruce Wayne wakes up, turns on the news and finds out the entire island nation of Japan has vanished. The entire island itself is gone, and in its place? A giant floating land mass called Hinomoto.

Batman would ask for help, but the Justice League has disappeared. To make matters worse, when the Dark Knight arrives in Honomoto to investigate, he discovers the island came from an alternate universe where the Justice League is the Yakuza League, organizing crime instead of saving the world. Now the Yakuza League has decided to invade Gotham, and it’s Batman, Robin and Batgirl against the combined might of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Flash. Ordinarily we’d be worried, but Batman can take on anything.
